Colon Cleanse & Detox by Nutro Essence

A good detox and cleanse isn't always a bad thing.  It's a great way to start a weight loss journey and get you feeling good right off the bad.  It helps you rid your body of toxins and old "sludge" that's wearing you down.  It's not a fix all solution, it's a tool.

The Colon Cleanse & Detox by Nutro Essence was a very gentle colon cleanse.  It was not "aggressive" but more "progressive" in the sense that it was a more natural effect.  It feels more natural and moves as a more natural pace.  I didn't experience any cramping or extremely loose stools.

My only real complaints is the taste of the capsules, it's like putting a garden weed in your mouth.  Also, based off of other reviews there seemed to be some confusion on serving size, so maybe some clarification on that end.

Glass Soap Dispenser by Milkweed Farms

The glass dispenser by Milkweed Farms is a very elegant soap dispenser aimed at a male audience but I am very neutral and I love the amber color class with the stainless steel pump.

The simplicity as it is is breathtaking.  The glass is sturdy and doesn't feel cheaply made.  It's an extra large bottle, 16 oz., so it doesn't have to be filled quite as often.  We are a family of 6 with one bathroom and soap goes quick, this is a huge plus for me!

The price point is actually a little lower than the similar products on amazon and this particular dispenser by Milkweed Farms even caters to the male audience and adds in 3 PVC decals you can adhere to your bottle to "man" it up some.  You can even add 2 stickers and rotate it with your mood!

All in all it is a great piece and a great gift for the man hard to shop for, especially for the classy, bachelor man with a touch of style!

Stainless Steel Tumbler

I was so excited to try this bad boy! I've been wanting one of these for a while.  It holds a ton of liquid. 30 oz! The box came dented and I was a little worried the product would be damaged but she was a-ok!

The Star Asent Stainless Steel Tumbler is a great drinking cup, do I feel it as ultimate temperature retention as it claims? No.  It's winter in Kansas and the ice in my cup melts.  It stays cold but I'm a little concerned about the heat in the summer and the temperature of my cold beverages.

All in all you will see me sporting my cup, on the daily.  But what about some branding on the cup? The lid? It's very generic! (I was sold this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion. My opinions were not influenced by the brand in any way shape or form.)

Resistance Bands Tube Set

Core Fitness Zone's Resistance Bands Tube Set is a great starting point for anyone looking to add a fitness routine to their daily life or to supplement their workouts, or even adding the option of an at home workout that requires little space.

Upon opening the package you see that everything is contained in a carrying bag.  This bag is great, even after many uses I am able to get everything back into the bag.  It makes storage and travelling with the Resistance Bands a breeze.

Inside the bag are 5 resistance bands - ranging from 2-4lbs up to 25-30lbs.  They are also stackable and have a carabiner at the end of each band for easy assembly/disassembly.

Along with the bands are the standard handles that are on the end of most resistance bands.  There is one ankle cuff and 2 foot cuffs.  There is also an anchor attachment.  Using the anchor attachment needs to be done safely.  Which means you put it on the side that closes to avoid it flying off and injuring yourself.  It also should be used on a door that somebody won't open, a control measure such as using a closet door, or a door that you can lock would be a safer option.  If those aren't available a tag or sign that hands off the anchor strap that could deter someone from opening the door would be beneficial!

The E-book that comes with this product offers great information for someone who is starting out and looking to start a workout regimen.  It not only gives pictures that demo the exercises but it breaks it down and goes over a plan that could be used.

Let's start with first impressions.  Very simple label design, not a lot of frills or intricate design.  Simple is good.  Always remember K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid)!  But what is ENZOPLEX?  From looking at the label, I wouldn't have a clue what this supplement is taken for. Lets turn the bottle.

Serving size is 2 capsules and has Serrapeptase, which comes from an enzyme that occurs naturally in the intestines of silk worms (yuck)!  Serrapeptase is used to treat a variety of ailments including carpal tunnel, back pain and migraines, to name a few.  Papain is a digestive enzyme that comes from Papaya, this aids in protein synthesis.  Papain is all in all a digestion booster and is great for people like me who eat a high protein diet.  Enzoplex boasts that it's a healthy alternative to pain relievers.  But lets look at the other side of the label.

I'm still not seeing ANYTHING that would tell me what this is used for, aside from looking up the product on the internet or the individual ingredients.  I would hope that if I found this in my medicine cabinet I could read the bottle and know what it's used for.  That to me is the one HUGE, MAJOR downfall of this product.  The good new is, it's just a packaging issue.

The product itself is small and easy to swallow.  As far as effectiveness I have taken this product 10 days I haven't noticed an improvement.  Enzoplex asks that you give them 60 days to see if you're satisfied so I am hoping with continued use I can see/feel that I'm reaping the benefits of a Kosher/Vegan all natural product.

Phytopia Stretch Marks Remover

If you're pregnant or ever been pregnant you're always looking for a product to help you combat those dreaded stretch marks. My OB told me he used to rate them on a scale of 1-10 and after having a 10lb 11oz baby he rated mine at an 8/10. Go me? 8 year later and 60 pounds lighter those stretch marks are coupled with loose skin, needless to say I was ecstatic to try Phytopia Stretch Marks Remover!

The package came and I was impressed.  It came packaged beautifully and classy, it really made stretch marks removing oil seem more appealing.  When you open up the tent box you find an envelope with information regarding Phytopia, the stretch marks removing oil and directions for use. This is organic and features essential oils and carrier oils.  This particular stretch mark remover oil isn't greasy.  It takes about 6-8 drops and dries fairly quickly.  I used it twice a day, once in the morning before getting dressed and at night right before bed.  The smell is a floral-citrus smell and isn't too over powering.  

This would make a great gift for an expectant mother.  I would have loved this for a baby shower gift and this will definately be a top gift on my list for any upcoming baby showers!  Inside the package is the envelope with information regarding the company, etc.  It also has a beautiful pouch to store the oil in.  It's best to be stored in a cool dark place and having a bag to store it in is perfect.  The oil is easy to get out, just turn it over and it'll slowly dip into your hand.  

I used the Phytopia Stretch Marks Remover oils for 10 days and within a few days I noticed my loose skin looking/feeling a littler tighter.  I haven't been able to use the oil long enough to see a lightening or removing of the stretch marks but the elasticity of my skin is just as important and getting rid of those hard earned tiger stripes!

I was so excited to get the Night Owl 200 USB Rechargeable Bike Light.  The lights come in a black box that doubles great for storage in between usage.  The package was easy to open and includes the USB charger and a tail light.  The front light is easy to attach and detach, with no tools needed. It measures in at 200 lumen! Small and mighty!

The charger is easy to plug in and charges relatively fast.  The light did come pre-charged so it was ready to use immediately!  The Night Owl 200 can run for 2 hours when turned to the highest setting.  With just a push of a button you can lower the output.  It features high, medium and low, and you can switch to a flashing mode all with the same button. The Night Owl 200 is also water resistant for those days you get caught out in the rain! 

At a good price point I would say this is a great light for the money and the fact that it includes a full light set is awesome.  It would be hard to find another light at this price that is this great of quality.

I laughed at myself a little tonight as I was trying to barbecue at 6:30 pm in complete darkness.  Then I remembered this little gem.

The headlamp runs off of 3 AAA batteries, which are included.  Now, take it from experience and maybe momentary blindness... DO NOT turn the light on while looking at it.  168 lumens and it offers 2 other modes at 75 lumens and 10 lumens.  In addition to the adjustable white LED lighting, this headlamp offers a flashing mode as well as a red light that can strobe as well.  This is one versatile must-have.  

I cannot wait to use this for other activities!

Actually it was a quite ingenious idea.  I was able to barbecue and see what I was doing hands free.
